Commercial Director Europe

Davide Rizzo

Davide Rizzo is an international executive with extensive experience in renewable energy development, global procurement, and commodities supply chains. An Italian citizen, he has built a career spanning Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, establishing a reputation for delivering complex strategic projects and pioneering sustainable solutions.

Davide played a key role in the early development of Italy’s solar energy sector, contributing to some of the country’s first photovoltaic installations. He later spent two decades in China, working closely with leading global manufacturers of solar panels and inverters, where he developed deep technical and commercial expertise in renewable-energy technology and industrial supply chains.

His international portfolio includes successful large-scale commodity and food-commodity operations across Africa, with notable achievements in Rwanda, Uganda, Nigeria, and Cameroon. One emblematic transaction involved structuring a barter agreement between Nigerian and Indian partners to exchange teak wood for rice — the first of its kind in the region and an example of Davide’s innovative and cross-cultural negotiation abilities.

Currently based in Muscat, Oman, Davide is advancing his most ambitious initiative: OASIS, a fully autonomous green-city factory in the desert. The project leverages hydroponic and aquaponic systems to sustainably produce fruit, vegetables, and fish in an off-grid environment, showcasing his commitment to food security and environmental innovation.

He is also leading the establishment of an Italian industrial furniture hub in Oman, coordinating a consortium of Italian manufacturers to create a Designed in Italy – Made in Oman production facility serving Gulf and Middle-Eastern markets. The hub is conceived to operate sustainably and independently from the grid.

Davide combines technical expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and international operational experience, making him a key driver in future-oriented sustainability projects and strategic industrial initiatives.
